Volunteers

The Village is not just for those near or already into retirement. It’s for people of all ages who value being part of an eastside Portland community and want to strengthen their link to it.

Eastside Village is always on the lookout for volunteers with a variety of skills and experiences. We welcome members and non-members of all ages who would like to share their time and talents. Key volunteer roles include:

Transportation for members
Household tasks for members
Social visits with members
Community outreach
Technical support both in the office and with members

Start by filling out a volunteer inquiry here or download, fill out and return it to our office.

Once your application has been received, we will follow up with a short phone interview to answer any questions and walk you through the process of becoming a volunteer. This includes:

Completing a criminal background check
Attending a Volunteer Training session
Completing a DMV check and additional training, if transporting members
